Stopped by thanks to a Yelp event and I think this may become my go-to chocolate shop. Sure, a lot of people can make good chocolate and caramel chocolate, but what makes Creo chocolate stand out is there unique and unexpected flavors. Walking in I wouldn't have expected to leave saying that their passion fruit and mushroom chocolates would be my favorite!!! I highly recommend coming by and trying their flavors and impressing your loved ones with a unique array of chocolates.

The staff member there was also so friendly and nice. They were very kind and patient with my son who wanted to try all the flavors. I also liked how open and natural this location felt.

A cute place for sure! Me and my partner attended a Build-A-Bar Tour together, figuring it would be a nice way to spend a Saturday evening. First impressions were good! It's a cute little area with beautifully packaged chocolates and adorable displays that had an air of whimsy about them. We were told it was a tour, and we were excited to be able to really see the whole process with the incredible people and machines that make it happen!

What happened instead is we were given hairnets and beardnets by employees (which neither of whom had either hairnet or beardnet on). Then, once adorned with our nets, about 20 people crammed into a tight space on pretty uncomfortable stools for two hours of a PowerPoint presentation bisected by the (admittedly cute) chocolate bar section where you shovel on whatever bits of your choosing onto a standard size chocolate bar.

Bottom line is- it's lovely chocolate, but don't call it a tour. Just call it a class. I think setting expectations would do a lot for priming people for what could be a lovely time! As parents, we just felt a little bummed that it felt we burned what was one of our very few nights out alone together to attend a presentation 🙁

But! the bit at the end where we sealed and packaged up the bar at the end was a nice note to end on.

Wow! What an experience! I’ve never tried such great tasting chocolate before. Not only did I get to try so many different pieces, I got to make my own chocolate bar!! Tim was fantastic and so insightful not only in chocolate making but also in his authenticity and integrity. So grateful to have a business like this in Portland! I plan on buying all my chocolate from Creo moving forwards!

Delicious chocolate samples to try and informative tour. The only disappointment is that I thought the "make your own chocolate bar" was to make couverture chocolate instead of just adding flavors on top of their provided base.

What an amazing experience. Great staff, professional & fun. The Chocolate making experience was informational, interactive and a great time. Perfect mix of dad jokes and edu-tainment. I highly recommend & will be back with others!

We loved our Creo Chocolate tour! We learned about chocolate production from farm to mouth, as well as the history of this family-owned business. The highlight was creating our own chocolate bars using a table full of potential add-ins. I highly recommend this experience.

Ten stars for both the chocolate-making tour and the chocolate!! For $40 per person, we felt the tour was a great value, considering the 90-minute length, how educational, and how many samples we were able to taste. Tim was so informative and entertaining. Part of the tour is making a full-sized chocolate bar, which was a lot of fun for everyone. Creo chocolate is head and shoulders above every other chocolate we've ever tasted. They had some very creative flavors for their chocolate bars, and we stocked up on those as gifts. We'd highly recommend their tour and their chocolate! Loved doing the chocolate tour and being able to make our own chocolate bars was the best part of the tour! Tim, the owner, is so passionate and it shows in everything they do. They have incredibly delicious single origin Ecuadorian chocolate in so many varieties. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to do a fun event or just loves great chocolate!
