We stopped here on our trip to Death Valley, here's what you need to know: Great final place to fill up with gas before turning off into the park. Plus they have snacks, drinks, and refreshments. The bathroom is next door on the outside left of the Post Office building. We were a little disappointed they didn't have ice cream, but it was hardy worth mentioning and not a deal breaker.

Scam, gas pumps are pumping aprox 2/3 of a gallon per gallon measured. I filled up and the pump put more gas into my tank than what is possible for my vehicle. Inside store absolutely nothing has a price. Everything is a mystery. Do not shop here unless ypur in the dire straights.

Drove here from Vegas through Pahrump. The scenery is nice and plain desert. Expect to lay around $5 a gallon of gas if you need any. They don’t offer a variety snacks or drinks. Its pretty pricey but it’s expected when it’s in the middle of nowhere. The cashier was an older Gentlemen who was very polity, he even gave a lil booklet of nearby cities or what not. Shoshone is in Death Valley National Park, the name says it all as far as how hot it gets.

Whenever I tend to come to death Valley, I always fill up to the point where I know I can get out without filling up at one of these gas stations due to the prices. But it's a great place to find a souvenir if you want to find one, or if you want to find a quick snack cause trust me there won't be anywhere else to find one. For hundreds of miles.

$5.00 a gallon will feel really worth it when you need to drive out of the valley of death. Clean bathrooms. They sell magical rocks for a few bucks. 10/10 would recommend.

Ok, the gas prices are v. high, but it’s basically Death Valley and boy are we happy to have made the stop.

Joey, who works there is an absolute delight! He answered all our random questions about the area, gave us some tips, and had we been staying longer we would’ve checked out the tortoise sanctuary round back.

My 9 yr old son sd, “I would like to see Joey again, bc he is a kind person and is really helpful “ … my heart just melted.

I drove 2 hours from Las Vegas to get lottery tickets, and got there at 8 pm and she said I was too late because they don't sell tickets after 8 pm. The clerk seemed like she really enjoyed telling me this. She had the biggest smile on her face. Reminded me of a sociopath that likes to hurt other people.. This was on Saturday night, 5/26/24. You would think a small town and small business would want business. Especially, since I plan of winning the lottery, and they won't get a cut. As long as that lady works there, and as long as can't sell me a ticket at 8 pm, I am not going to that store again. I will just go to Primm or Arizona next time. The gas is like $10 a gallon because she knows the poor people who live there have no other choice without driving 30 miles. Way to really support the community Shoshone store. I bought a Pepsi in a bottle, regular size like 16 oz or whatever and a small bag of chips and it was $8. Make sure you bring your own food and fill up on gas. This town is just out to earn as much money as they possibly can off anyone who wonders through there.
