The property was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff friendly. There was renovation going on the second and third floor so there were not too many guests. Nice and quiet. We felt safe in the area.

Positive: Housekeeping was very nice and very old in checking in on us . The rooms were very clean. We felt very welcome Negative: The breakfast was always gone before we got there. They limited the breakfast they put out .

While laying in bed watching tv on Saturday night the approximately 8’x3’ mirror on the wall above the bed fell on me. Fortunately the mirror didn’t break, but I did have to crawl out from underneath it. I immediately went to the desk to inform the clerk, Jeff, of the incident. He apologized and offered to help me move it. I told him that as it was late and I had second bed we could deal with it in the morning, so he made a note of it. The next morning I spoke with the day clerk, and he had Jeff’s notes. When I said that I definitely needed to speak with the manager, Kylie Minish, he gave me her card and said email would be the fastest way to reach her. So, I went upstairs and sent her the details of the incident along with pictures. By the time I checked out Monday morning it had been almost 36 hours since the mirror fell without a word from Ms. Minish to me or her staff. The mirror remained on the bed for the rest of my stay. That a hotel staff has no means to contact their manager in the event of an emergency is baffling to me. Had the mirror broken and cut me, or if I had been a small child it could have been very serious. The complete lack of contact from Ms. Minish for almost two weeks is unprofessional and inexcusable. Additionally, we attempted to call the owner of the franchise and left a message, with no response.
So, no I would not recommend staying at this Super8, and I would recommend that Super8 distance themselves from this property.
