Not sure what happened but came in with my wife to rent some skis. Everything seemed OK until we where literally in the mountains about to ski when I realized they didn't even bother to fit my boots to my skis. Wasted 30 minutes of ski time going to a store to fix the issue. This is just basic stuff that they didn't do it I was really disappointed. Will probably find a different rental place from now on

Update: got a call from the owner after he saw the review and he was extremely nice and helped me get the issues I had rectified. Based on this I am willing to give them another shot since he went above and beyond to help me.

I used the online bike rental system for an all-day rental which came to about $71. The e-bike was fine. The attitude of the employee was indifferent and blank. After a quick test ride I returned to have the gear shifter adjusted as it continually changed gears. I expected that the bike would have been checked out prior to my rental. I also asked to have the handlebar aligned with the direction of the front tire but was told by the employee that such minor adjustments weren't made. Really? Please.

Worst service of any gear shop I've shopped at.
I've bought many high dollar items at full price in an effort to support local business, and I now regret it.

An airbag cannister refill is seemingly about as simple of a service as you can ask for, but 4 times now, it's been an epic fail. Either they don't fill my cannister, call me to tell me it's ready, and suggest I "just grab a cannister that is" when they're caught lacking.

Or they fill it and don't call

Or they just forget about it all together

I've had them perform a brake bleed on a bike brake lever, and give it back to me saying "careful, sounds like there's still air in there"

If you're a local looking for service, drive to gunni, all sports replay will outperform alpineer any day

If you're a tourist looking for rental gear, go for it. Apparently you are their target audience

We rented av kits for our weekend excursion. The av kits were extremely easy to use, self-explanatory, and the staff were incredibly nice. We had no issues renting our gear and the return was quick and easy (which is exactly what you hope for when you're coming back from a hike!) I highly recommend The Alpineer for your rental needs!
