My family recently moved to a new apartment in Jersey City and suddenly realized now we have to wake up a few hours earlier due to too much sunlight in almost all of our bedrooms. We thought of blinds, same as we had in our old apartment before. We called a few companies to price out. The best shades offered to come in next day and consult on the best solution. Ended up choosing room solar shades for most of the rooms and blackouts for all our bedrooms. which now is such a blast, gives us a totally dark room for a nice sleep. Definitely recommend! Marat was wonderful to work with. He was a consummate professional throughout the process. He explained everything, provided a free consultation with samples and examples of the motorized solar shades. In addition, he was able to add a motor to our existing black out shades. They did a fantastic job with the installation of the solar shades, the motors in the existing black out shades and the fascia. We were very happy with their service and would highly recommend!

I couldn’t be happier with how my custom roller shades turned out! We moved into a new apartment with an odd trapezoid shaped window and neither Shade Store or Blinds to Go wanted to work with us. My husband works night shifts and needs to sleep during the day. Our bedroom has three large windows and the room gets very bright during the day. We started searching for shades to block all that light coming through so that he can sleep. When we contacted The Best Shades, they were able to schedule an appointment very fast. After speaking with several shade/blind shops ranging from cheap to very expensive, called The Best Shades seeing they were located only a few blocks away in Hoboken. Marat was able to come over to do a free consultation later that afternoon where he was extremely helpful. Our problem was that the window we needed shades for faced another building so we needed some privacy but didn't want it to be 100% light blocking. Instead of going with solar shades, which we'd been pushed towards by other shade stores, Marat suggested light filtering (which once installed, were the PERFECT solution). We had them motorized and installed with the smart hub so we can control the shades via Alexa. I would 100% recommend Marat and The Best Shades to anyone in the NY/NJ area. They were very helpful and professional every step of the way. Pricing wise, better deal than the top end, brand name stores but without any of the risks associated with going with the cheapest option. Thank You!
